We are excited to announce that domain renewals are now live on the mainnet! You can now extend the registration of your domains for up to 10 years. In addition, the largest protocol upgrade since our launch comes with a new, simplified pricing model, a one-time grace period, free domains and much more!

Renew Here

New Pricing

Together with domain renewals, we are introducing a new pricing which simplifies domain registrations and renewals. From now on, domain registrations will follow a linear yearly pricing model. Thus, each year of registrations costs the same.

The yearly base fee will be increased to 10 AZERO to reflect current market conditions. This translates to an effective price or around $4 per year for a 5+ character domain.

With our newly introduced linear pricing, users will pay 10 AZERO for every year of registration for first-time registrations but also renewals making the pricing simple to understand and easy to plan ahead.

Grace Period to Ensure Smooth Renewals

To ensure enough time for all our early users to renew their domains before the first registrations expire, we are extending all domains which would expire in August or September to the 1st of October, 2024. This is the so called Grace Period.

In addition, we are rewarding long-term supporters with a free domain! Every user renewing a domain for 10 years or registering a new domain for 10 years will be able to claim an additional domain for free. If you register or renew multiple domains for 10 years, you will receive also multiple bonus domains!

How to Renew Your Domains

Once you enter the AZERO.ID dashboard the next time, you will see a pop-up window asking you to renew your domains. Also, you can find the option to renew your domains at any time by clicking on the yellow button in the upper right of your dashboard. Here, you can select the domains you want to renew and also the number of years you want to renew them for. After doing so, you can review your selection and sign the transaction with your wallet. Make sure to have enough $AZERO token so the transaction goes through.

More Exciting Things to Come

We are really excited about the future of Aleph Zero. Our protocol has been the first major ink! application to go live on the Aleph Zero L1 last Summer. One year later, Aleph Zero and ecosystem projects are getting ready to expand further and bring their products to the entire EVM and web3 ecosystem. Wouldn’t it be cool if the same holds for your unique AZERO Domains? Well, the next months will be exciting for sure… stay tuned!
