As we draw closer to our mainnet launch, the AZERO.ID team is not only focused on refining our dapp, but also on expressing our appreciation to our supportive community. It’s your backing over the past few months that has spurred us forward, and in recognition of this, we’ve implemented an on-chain referral program for our upcoming mainnet.
We built an on-chain referral system designed to mutually benefit both the referrer and the referred. If you recommend AZERO.ID to someone, you’ll receive a 5% bonus. Additionally, the person you’ve referred will benefit from a 5% discount on their registration fee. This system not only thanks you for spreading the word about AZERO.ID but also welcomes newcomers with a registration discount.
Spending and Savings
As the great Samuel Johnson said, “A man who both spends and saves money is the happiest man, because he has both enjoyments”, and that is the exact idea behind our two options to get the discount. Let's break it down:
Handpick your Hero: During the registration process, you can manually input the domain name of your referrer — ‘joebob.azero’ or ‘alice.azero’, for example. Just like that, a registration discount of 5% is yours!
Get your own referral link: Go ahead and get your own referral link that features your domain name (like https://azero.id?referrer=alice). You can find the link in your dashboard by clicking on the three dots next to the domain you want to use for your referrals. Using this link means the dApp automatically fills in your referring details, making the process as smooth as possible.
Let's continue with a little example. If the registration fee is $10, you’re only going to shell out $9.50 by using someone’s referral code. The person who referred you will also receive a $0.50 credit from the registration fee. But here’s where it gets interesting — when you purchase your second domain, simply use a new wallet and designate your first domain as the referrer. Voila! You’ve now saved a sweet 10% on your domain purchase. Savvy savings and smart strategies — that’s the AZERO.ID way.
Further, we’re soon rolling out an extensive dashboard that makes tracking referrals easy. This will come with a referrer leaderboard letting you compare your referring performance with the AZERO.ID community. And who knows, some cool prizes might be waiting for the best referrer…
The rules
Like every rewarding contest, there are some simple rules to ensure fairness. But worry not; there are just two simple ones:
- Your referring domain must be a registered one.
2. The referring domain can’t be linked in any way (as a controller/owner/resolver) with the wallet that’s registering.

What’s next
Today, we are excited to announce the upgrade of our testnet, as we continue to test and refine key features in preparation for the mainnet launch. Our current focus is on implementing and thoroughly testing our early access whitelist feature. It’s worth noting that those who were already included in the whitelist from our previous testnet deployment in September, as well as users actively staking with our AZERO.ID validator, providing valuable feedback on our testnet, or those who were fortunate enough to win in one of our various WL raffle events, will have the opportunity to test our whitelist registration phase. It will run for the rest of the week until the testnet opens again for every OG member from Monday onwards.
