One day after launching our public mainnet, we are thrilled to announce our first wallet partnership, marking another milestone in our journey! Collaborating with SubWallet, together we are crafting a user-friendly pathway to interact with the Aleph Zero network, eliminating the need to handle complex wallet addresses.
The SubWallet team has been a valued supporter of the Aleph Zero ecosystem since the very beginning, and we are happy to officially partner with them and align our efforts in bringing the best UX possible to Web3.
Domain resolving is live 🚀
SubWallet is not just progressing; it’s leaping forward with partnerships ranging from fiat on-ramps like Banxa to data aggregators like Birdeye. Now, the team has integrated AZERO.ID and thus enabled domain-to-wallet resolving for AZERO.ID domains via our integration library. What does this mean for SubWallet and AZERO.ID users?
Users can now send funds in SubWallet directly to AZERO.ID domains. This means users don’t have to use complicated wallet addresses anymore while sending funds on the Aleph Zero network. No relentless checking and comparing a wallet address's first and last five characters leads to a bad UX and is still error-prone.
Further, on-chain domains drastically reduce the attack vector for so-called address poisoning attacks, where hackers send fake transactions from lookalike addresses to victims, hoping that the users copy and paste the wrong lesson from their transaction history.
In addition, the NFT representations of your domains are supported in SubWallet now and can be shown in the “NFTs” tab of the browser extension. Both, domain-to-address resolving, and the NFT support is already live in the SubWallet browser extension version 1.1.9.
We are working closely with the SubWallet team to enable the frontend integration of domains to make them usable as usernames within SubWallet. Further, both features will be rolled out to the SubWallet mobile wallet this week. Stay tuned!
